Seria saw this, and used her Absolute Zero sorcery. The plains were frozen solid, and the rampaging flames died out. This disaster became known as the Thaumazein Winter, when the grain belt was buried in snow. The truth of what happened is recorded nowhere, but she surely doesn't mind.
